I have recently purchased a property in Costa Blanca in the north of Spain. I have always wanted a place in the sun and love the North of Spain. I went over on holiday several times to the area where I purchased to make sure I was making the right decision, which I can safely say I have!

2. Advice for others on buying

I would recommend making sure you know the area you are buying in. It is a big investment and you need to be 100% sure the area your buying in has everything you need. I used a property agent to help me with my purchase and I found that they were very helpful in providing me with the information I required.

My property agent advised me to use a foreign currency specialist.
